Youth at Rivers

BigEdu Foundation is inviting youth volunteers to participate in our neighborhood Youth at Rivers program. This initiative aims to protect local waterways, reduce pollution, and promote environmental stewardship within our community.

Rivers and streams play a critical role in sustaining ecosystems, supporting wildlife, and maintaining water quality. Unfortunately, litter and debris continue to threaten these natural resources. Through organized clean-up activities, students will directly contribute to improving environmental conditions while gaining hands-on experience in community service.

What Volunteers Will Do

  • Remove litter and debris from riverbank areas
  • Assist with recycling the litter

Why Participate?

  • Earn community service hours
  • Develop teamwork and leadership skills
  • Gain environmental awareness
  • Strengthen the community through meaningful acts

No prior experience is required. All necessary tools, safety equipment, and on-site guidance will be provided by the foundation, along with lunch. Safety protocols will be strictly followed throughout the activity.

*This activity will be held throughout holidays, breaks, etc.

We invite all youth who are interested in sustainability and active community involvement to join us. Together, we can make a measurable difference in preserving our neighbourhood rivers.
